2013
From Inglenook
Historic estate founded in 1879 by Gustave Niebaum, restored by Francis Ford Coppola. Known for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and the flagship Rubicon blend from their Rutherford estate.
The 2013 Blancaneaux opens with a provocative bouquet of ripe pears, honey, and white flowers. On the palate, it is complex and well-balanced, offering a voluminous mouthfeel that is beautifully offset by crisp, natural acidity. This vintage reveals a subtler expression of Viognier, with less tropical fruit and apricot than previous years, allowing the Roussanne and Marsanne components to shine through with tart, juicy apple flavors and pronounced minerality. The finish is long, elegant, and refreshing, making it a versatile companion for a range of dishes.[1][3][5]
